I know, I know. I keep saying “I am almost done.”, but I really am! We are getting there, little by leap. Three children and work have made it a little difficult, but things are moving along.
The new book is going to be titled, “The Elevator”. I started out with this title and have mentally abandoned it several times, shopping for a new fit, but have come back realizing it is perfect. As I have said in the Smashwords interview, it is going to be a thriller. Based on technology, but not highly technical. The characters are as follows:
Timothy Gillette, an engineer that graduated at the top of his class, and harbors other secret skills not normally associated with his kind.
Jacqueline Defray, a intelligent, disciplined, and beautiful woman of Iranian, Iraqi, and American descent (a puzzle which the story puts together for you). She is caught in the middle, something she wouldn’t wish for, but in the end wouldn’t change.
Alana Defray, Jacqueline’s ailing mother. Jacqueline’s strength and guiding light, having done nearly anything and everything to get her where she is now.
Mark Fetterman, a battle-scarred war veteran, with experience in Iraq and other places in the world. Coming home with a great disillusion and the desire to change the problems within the intelligence system.
Chet Lufkin, a southern boy with uncanny skills with anything digital. He is driven by a deep respect for his country and undying patriotism.
Lazzaro Belluchi, a man, a victim of the economic recession and his low standard of loyalty. Possibly more than meets the eye!
STAY TUNED! My wife says this is the best I have written, published and unpublished. I hope she is right!
