If you are going to tent camp in the woods these tools here are a must. The lantern for those nighttime forays and searching for your sandals in the dark (It also works great for attracting half of the moth population within a square mile). The hatchet to help with tent stakes, to cut kindling for a campfire, and to help the knife whittle away a stout hiking staff from just the right stick! You know the routine…cook, clean, sit, and whittle.
We spent the weekend of July 4th camping on the Lochsa River (that’s why I wasn’t blogging…no cell service or electricity). I hope to have some more shots of that coming up soon.
