Hello to all my readers!
It has been awhile (again) since I posted last, but this means that I am busy working…and that means that we are nearly ready to release a new title!! Yeah!!
That’s right! The Summer Days Series is just about to add Book 3 to its library and none to soon for a good summer read. The rough draft is completed and it is being edited and formatted for ebook and traditional publication formats. As well, I have our narration producer standing by for contract to narrate this third book – he has already agreed to it!
So, there are lots of things to catch up on in this post, let’s get right to it.
First, we have designed a “Summer Days” logo that will began to appear on all of our titles, just to add a little pizzazz and identification. Yes, this means that the book covers will be redesigned for books 1 & 2, and offered in physical form as a 2nd edition. You may want to get a 1st edition now. 😉 Also, we are considering offering the books in a 5″x8″ format, which would make them smaller, thicker and give room for writing on the spine. This is more of an adult size book for a novel. (For all of our adult readers out there. Let me know what you think about that in comments or email.)
Here is the new logo, let me know what you think of it!
Also, we are in the design phase for the book cover for the new release. This is where my readers come in to play. I would like your help once again in voting for your favorite book cover. I will let you guess the title from the book cover. NOTE: The book cover you see is the “print” edition. This was easiest, because it gives you the full ‘picture’, but for ebook just imagine the left half of the image gone. You also notice that I have added Josh and Vern to the covers! I have debated doing this for a long time and have even considered hiring the photographer and models to customize their shots for our books (you never know…)
Here is OPTION #1:
How do you like that one? If you like OPTION #1, simply vote for it in the comment section or send me an email: email@example.com and let me know your thoughts.
Here is OPTION #2:
Now, I know that some of you may be a bit scared of the cover, but I assure you it is not creepy or too scary for children…(I hope). The book explores the fears of a child and fears that we grow up with and helps us to confront them. Yes, there is a moral to the story.
As you may have noticed there is a watermark, which will disappear when the cover is finalized…pay no attention to that.
Once this new title has progressed toward finalization I will release excerpts to you, my readers, first. Also, I will begin to post progress on the new book covers for Books 1 & 2. AND THEN, I will give you a small first draft excerpt of BOOK 4!!! Yes, that’s right, Book 4 is already being written.
So, lots of things ahead! Once again, thank you for reading, staying tuned, and helping me out here. You can either comment your choice or ideas or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
